Reduce Trips Out by Stocking Up on Cannabis

As you all know, life has rapidly changed in the past couple of weeks. Public health concerns have been escalating on account of COVID-19. Across Pierce County, schools have been closed for at least 6 weeks. And just this week, Washington Governor Jay Inslee delivered an address encouraging Washingtonians to stay home with exceptions for vital trips outside of the home.

Fortunately, cannabis retailers will remain open as our state continues to address COVID-19 concerns. Washington State politicians have deemed that cannabis retailers are essential businesses, meaning they will be allowed to operate under the circumstances. Here at House of Cannabis, we are appreciative that our state recognizes that access to cannabis is essential; because it is.

For more on our right to continue to operate as an essential business, see our blog post about this here

Build Up Your Stash & Reduce the Need to Go Out

Although we don’t foresee any cannabis retail closures, now may still be the right time to focus on stocking up your personal cannabis supply. By stocking up on a larger supply, you can reduce the number of times you need to leave the house. In an era where our ability to limit exposure to the general public is key, this is a good strategy for keeping yourself healthy… and still sufficiently high!

If you are considering making a large purchase, we encourage that you utilize any available discounts you may have earned by stacking up Loyalty points at House of Cannabis. This can be a great way to save money. And, it’s exciting for us when people redeem their well-earned discounts; It feels like Christmas morning every time we see a customer save a bunch of money on a huge purchase!

Below, I will outline some recommended House of Cannabis products to consider if you’re going to be increasing your at-home stash.

Flower

We carry a lot of wonderful farms that package their flower into larger package sizes, including quarters, halves, and ounces. Grabbing a substantial amount of flower ensures that you’ll have enough to roll up for days or weeks to come (depending on how often you toke up, of course!!).

At House of Cannabis, we carry many high-volume flower options, from value cannabis all the way to top-shelf. We carry high-volume options from many brands, including Loud, Phat Panda, Pilot, Bondi Farms, Acme Diesel, Heritage, and Big Ridge. Here are a few brands we’d like to showcase:

Pilot

Pilot is an excellent local brand. Their flower is supreme and their grower has been in the cannabis industry since the medical days.

Virginia Co.

Virgina Co’s flower is looking amazing these days – and, as many customers have commented, it tastes great! Virginia Co’s “Collision Kush” is available for $100 for 14g. Currently out of stock but we are awaiting a shipment soon! Look out for this on the shelf or ask a budtender.

Loud

Loud’s excellent “Acai Gelly” flower. This stuff sparkles it’s so frosty. Budtender Heather bought an ounce of this strain last week.

Pre-Rolls

Stocking up on pre-rolls can be an excellent way to maintain an adequate cannabis supply at home. The great thing about pre-rolls is that they are incredibly “easy” – you don’t need to grind up or roll a thing, because the producers have already taken care of this for you.

At House of Cannabis, we have many excellent pre-roll options, including both infused and non-infused. Here are a few great go-tos:

Bondi Farms pre-rolls, available in “Lemon Haze”, “Diesel Haze”, “Cherry Do Si Dos”, “Obama Kush”, and “God’s Gift”, are $10 for 2 x 0.5g joints.

Artizen pre-rolls, available in “Blue Dream”, “Forum Cookies”, and “Gallactic Glue” are $10 for 2 x 0.5g joints.

Virginia Co. pre-rolls, available in an assortment of strains, are truly an amazing deal – 2 x 1g joints (full gram joints!) for just $10.

We also have 5 packs of joints available, a great option for when you’re buying in bulk. Two excellent options include the Perma 5-pack and the Weed Bunny 5-pack, which is currently 40% off!

Perma 5-Pack

Perma’s Pre-roll 5-pack, 5 x 1g joints, available for $15.

Weed Bunny 5-Pack

Weedbunny’s Pre-roll 5-pack, 5 x 1g joints, normally $15 but currently on sale for just $9.

Edibles & Drinks

As you build up your supply, consider adding edibles or infused drinks into the mix. Both options are excellent for parents who don’t want to “light up” in front of their kiddos who are at home from school.

These pre-dosed consumables are a fun way to get toasty and also treat yourself… you deserve it.

Cornerstone’s chocolate squares, which come in a variety of flavors, are just $18 for a bag of ten.

Smokies Edibles, available in both sour and sweet flavors, are $25 for a bag of ten fruit chews.

Capsules, Tinctures, & Topicals

Similar to solid edibles, capsules, tinctures, and topicals are a great way to experience the healing properties of cannabis without smoking anything. Discrete and easy to dose, these product options provide us with a very accessible approach to incorporating cannabis into our daily lives.

Consider that achieving your desired level of CBD or THC intake could be as simple as adding a few drops of tincture into your morning coffee. Or even your cocktail – whatever you are crafting at home during your extended homestay!

Ceres tinctures come in a variety of options, including THC-only and also CBD:THC formulations. The “Lifted Sativa” formula is $20 for 100mg THC and the “Balance 1:1” formula is $30 for 100 mg CBD and 100 mg THC.

Concentrates

If you are a dabber, we have your concentrate needs covered. We carry a full range of options, and grams of concentrate are available for $12/g all the way up to $60/gram.

Come in and grab some concentrate to add to your supply! Keep in mind that the legal limit for a concentrate purchase is 7 grams per person per day.

Dabstract is always an amazing choice when it comes to sourcing a premium concentrate. Great taste, high potency, and fun strain names. What more could you want? Each gram of Dabstract concentrate is $40.

Vape Cartridges

Vape cartridges may be just what you’re looking for during this additional time at home. Vaping is a great option for when you just need a little “pick me up” throughout the day. Vaping is also more subtle than smoking, which allows you to maintain a lot of control over your high.

One of the best aspects of vape cartridges and vape pens is that they are super discreet. Even if you’re stuck in tight quarters with your family right now, you’ll be able to puff away without any smell or obvious indication.

We have a broad variety of vape carts available at the store. We also carry cartridges for proprietary pens, including Airopro and PAX Era pens. Vape cartridges range from $20 (for a half gram) through $55 (for a top-shelf & live-resin full gram).

Distillates and RSOs

Incorporating syringes of cannabis distillate or RSO into your at-home cannabis supply can be a great way to get a lot of bang for your buck. These high-potency products are already activated and can be incorporated into butters, cookies, or brownies. If you’re comfortable with the taste, you can even place a dose directly into your mouth for desired effect.

If you are new to consuming distillate or RSO, remember that a little bit goes a long way. We recommend dispensing a “grain of rice” sized portion first and then waiting to see how you react. You can always eat more… but you can never “un-eat” something 🙂

Weed Bunny syringes of cannabis distillate are available for $20 for a full gram. Available strains include “Girl Scout Cookies”, “Skittlez”, and more.

House Of Cannabis is ESSENTIAL! Here’s how we will handle it.

Jess, holding down the bud bar in Tacoma, incognito.

In light of the recent spread of the COVID-19 virus and associated regulations on public behavior, we at House of Cannabis wanted to let you know about the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our customers and staff during this a-typical moment.

OUR INITIAL RESPONSE COVERING OUR SANITATION AND SPACING STANDARDS CAN BE FOUND, HERE.

The Governor has declared cannabis retail stores and grow/process operations essential. What does this mean?

Well, this is a privilege for society. It means we need to follow the rules. Maintain social spacing, don’t make needless trips, buy enough to last a while when you do venture out, and combine trips for eligible household members to minimize exposure, if possible.

For House of Cannabis stores, we are taking several steps to minimize risk to our employees, as well as the general public. We continue to sanitize frequently. All budtenders are wearing gloves 100% of the time, and we are deploying masks as this week progresses. All shifts have disposable masks, or washable, reusable masks at this moment. Every employee is being issued protective equipment to protect you, and them, should someone be non-symptomatic. As the COVID-19 Coronavirus infection appears quite virulent, I would personally avoid shopping at retail establishments that aren’t taking sanitation and personal barriers very seriously. I assure you that we, at House of Cannabis, are taking this health threat very seriously.

As this situation develops, we remain reactive to the orders of the Governor. He is the singular ultimate authority on if we stay open. It also may become necessary to reduce our hours at any or all of our three stores. If a situation develops locally that creates an environment that means we can’t safely serve the public, we will close our doors.

The State of Washington has just opened up curbside service to all adults 21+ given COVID-19 concerns, and we will be evaluating how to implement that, if possible. If you know what you want from our menu, please feel free to place an online order, and call the store when you arrive if you don’t want to come in.

We are leveraging our partnerships with other cannabis businesses, cannabis professionals, and cannabis trade associations in order to keep up with 1) industry-wide coronavirus best practices and 2) maintain an up-to-date understanding of national and state restrictions on small businesses that could potentially impact our ability to operate.

Lavarse sus manos

In light of the recent spread of the COVID-19 virus and associated regulations on public behavior, we at House of Cannabis wanted to let you know about the steps we are taking to ensure the safety of our customers and staff during this a-typical moment.

First of all, we are taking extra precautions to maintain a clean and sanitary environment within our stores. As frequently as possible, our budtenders are wiping down all surfaces with disinfectant spray, particularly high traffic areas like counters, cash registers, and ATMs. Our budtenders are also wearing gloves during their shifts to prevent the spread of germs while selling cannabis products and facilitating transactions. We have installed public sani-can hand washing stations in front of our Twisp and Tonasket stores.

We are also keeping up with the CDC’s suggestions regarding social distancing and reduced gathering size. Luckily, the smaller footprint of our stores means that crowd size is not likely to exceed 20+ customers at any given time. As we serve customers over the coming weeks and months, we will be sure to move through any lines as quickly as possible. If required, we may implement a policy to reduce the number of customers inside the store at any given time.

Finally, no employees will be allowed to work while displaying symptoms of illness. If any of our budtenders do start to display symptoms, they will be sent home and will be eligible for sick pay.

At this time, we do not anticipate any service interruptions. We are a medically endorsed facility, and we intend to stay open as long as possible to serve everyone’s needs. We will be here in the stores, serving you, for as long as we are permitted to.

While the LCB has just legalized curbside service or delivery for patients and designated caregivers, we are examining how to do this in the most efficient manner. For the time being, if you are a medical cannabis patient and have concerns about stepping inside the store, call and work with a tender in advance to coming in.

That said, we are leveraging our partnerships with other cannabis businesses, cannabis professionals, and cannabis trade associations in order to keep up with 1) industry-wide coronavirus best practices and 2) maintain an up-to-date understanding of national and state restrictions on small businesses that could potentially impact our ability to operate.

If there is any sign that we will need to close up shop, we are committed to communicating this to you, our customers, as soon as we find out. You have been good to us over the years, and so we are committed to being communicative and transparent with all of you through all of this.

Top Shelf Re-Up: Lucky Devil

Connoisseur smokers rejoice! Lucky Devil just stopped by and our guy dropped off some excellent new strains this time around, as well as your tried and trues.

How many of you guys are fans of the Lucky Devil joints that come with the bonus nugs!? I know its a lot because we cannot keep these freaking things on our shelves. Like seriously they will probably sell out within the next week or two.

If your not keen on these guys here me now! They’re one of my favorite products we carry that are affordable for everybody. There a great tester product because just like it sounds they give you a pre-roll plus a good sized nug so you can pack a bowl for later.

Well they are back, and they blessed us with some dank ass new flavors, as well as some of our beloved strains that have created that following. Our current line up of joints with the bonus nug: Blueberry Headband, Dolato, Sundae Driver, Marionberry Kush, Wedding Cake, Animal Cookies, Cookies and Cream, Larry Bird (my personal favorite), Tropicanna Cookies, Vortex, and King Tut.

We also got the re-up on single grams, eighths, quarters, halves, and ounces on the aforementioned strains so swing on in and get while the getting is good.

New Grower Alert: Artizen/Dream City

Alright I may have told you a white lie just now. We’ve been having Dream City on our shelves since the jump. But guess what?! We just started carrying Artizen!

Out of everything on our shelves these two company’s are absolutely killing it with their online/social media presence. But most importantly what they’re putting into their jars.

Hailing from Port Townsend, Washington, Dream City is sun grown marijuana just how God intended it to be. Well… kind of. They have what I can only observe via the inter-webs a kickass state-of-the-art green house facility that when needed can manipulate the forces of nature, to the best interests of the plant.

Did I mention the amount of Bud Porn that goes into these guys’ instagram? Click the link above and see for yourself. Currently in house we have five strains from Dream City: Nilla Wafer, Jack Herer, Candy Breath, Dosi Pie, and G-Glue #4. As they say on their webpage “Anything in the purple packaging,” and we’ll know what you mean.

Drumroll…The much requested and anticipated Artizen has finally appeared on the shelves at Tacoma House of Cannabis and we couldn’t be more stoked. Grown in Lacey, Washington in a ultra-modern indoor facility, Artizen and it’s indoor facility sets the precedent for indoor growing in the state of Washington. After nearly an hour of searching their instagram and their webpage I still cannot get enough.

In the words of the late great Chris Farley (Tommy Boy) Tommy Likey.

Since this is our first time carrying Artizen flower we only got our hands on two strains. Their Purple Punch and Gorilla Snacks just hit our shelves this week as a sort of first time order test batch. So help us help you and buy these guys up. In return our ordering team can re-up with many more strains in the future. From what I can tell they have 20+ strains available at any given time. And I’d love to get our hands on more. Eighths from these guys’ are retailing for $35 which of course qualify for our top-shelf eighth sale on Wednesday. So do yourself a favor and swing in then and treat your pocket book to a 20% OFF.

We have Flavored Vapes!

So I’m a little late on this post but flavored vape carts came back on February 8th and for the foreseeable future they are here to stay. According to The Seattle Times, Governor Inslee’s senior public health policy adviser Molly Voris says the governor is “disappointed” with the amendment, and that they are still pushing for a broad ban on flavors.

Well for the time being Inslee can suck on it (as “it” I mean flavored vape pens of course), because we got a heck ton of them back on our shelves.

Spoil’d And Hellavated have the majority of the flavored vape carts that we carry and they brought back all the same delicious flavors as they had before, they also blessed us with some new ones.

Spoil’d is probably my favorite flavored vape company that we carry. The premium method of extraction they use is unparalleled within the industry when it comes to distillate extraction. They came through with the classic flavors like Blueberry Pomegranate (my personal favorite), Fruity Pebbles, and Strawberry Mojito. I enjoy the Blueberry Pomegranate because of the sour twang that goes along with it. It’s a must try.

Full gram Spoil’d Vape carts retail for $40 a gram but if you purchase them on Tuesday you can enjoy a 20% off discount from that price!

If you’re like many consumers and want the same delicious flavor vape for a little bit cheaper of a price, Hellavated might just be the thing for you. We also have a myriad of different flavors from these guys. I mean variety is the spice of life.

Also give Hellavated a follow on instagram they post a lot of funny things that I love to see while scrolling through my daily dose of social medias. We currently carry five different flavors from them that are compatible for your 510 threaded batteries (the screw on kind) as well as their disposable style, battery and vape all in one.

Right now on our shelves you can find different flavors such as their Hardcore Apple, Grape Stomper, Water ‘Yer Melon (a budtender favorite), Strawberry Haze, and O.G. Mint. Full gram vape carts retail for $36 a gram and of course are 20% OFF on our Weekly Terpy Tuesday sale.

Leaf Chief 4.5 grams for $35?!

The title says it all guys. Leaf Chief is the hottest, bang for buck, quality product deal in the store. First off you get these sweet mason style jars with dope ass handles on them. Secondly, they are packed with a high quality indoor looking greenhouse eighth of flower and two half-gram pre-rolls! Say no more fam. When you pick up one of these delights you are ready to smoke on the way to the smoke out.

Leaf Chief recently came out with a kick-ass new product as well, coco leaf rolled blunts. All I’m saying is if you’re trying to get with the times and get away from that nasty, unhealthy, tobacco blunt wrap you should at least give these guys a go. They’re definitely helping me stay away from the Swishers and Backwoods. Two pack blunts that are 0.9 grams a piece are coming in at $15. Do your lungs and your pocket books a favor. It’s 2020 ya’ll, stay woke, tobacco blunts are passé.

New Grower Alert: Fireline Cannabis

Fireline Cannabis has got to be one of my favorite new carries on our shelves. Let me tell you why, it rhymes with Snarlic Snookies. It’s their Garlic Cookies cross and I cannot get enough of this shit. Skunk GMO is a cross between 91 Skunk VA x and Garlic Cookies, which is surprisingly a Sativa Hybrid. I say that because its one of those Sativa’s that really kicks your ass to a stoney pulp. Do yourself and cop some of this before I buy it all.

Before I stop this Fireline Cannabis post I have to tell ya’ll about the Ghost Mints. One of our regulars has literally bought one of these puppies everyday for the last week and still cannot get enough. This shit right here is the TRUTH! If she knew I was cluing you guys in on this one she’d probably be a little pissed at me but ya know I’d be doing you guys a disservice if I didn’t. So your welcome.

We currently are carrying Fireline Cannabis at $40 an eighth but remember if you swing in on Top Shelf Wednesday you can cop one for 20% OFF. Get while the getting is good. Peace and Love Ya’ll
