Young Fathers is a Scottish alternative hip hop and pop group formed in Edinburgh in 2008. The trio consists of Alloysious Massaquoi, Kayus Bankole, and Graham ‘G’ Hastings. Known for their genre-blending sound that incorporates elements of hip hop, pop, and electronic music, Young Fathers gained widespread recognition for their unique style and experimental approach.
They first gained attention with their mixtapes and EPs, eventually leading to the release of their debut album, “Dead,” in 2014, which won the Mercury Prize for Album of the Year.
